The rain has finally made an appearance this season. That means that we have already had a few calls for weather-related claims. Leaking roofs, fences blowing down, and of course auto incidents because of the slick roads. Don’t let this be you! Take precautions before the rainy season starts. Here are a few tips:

  • Check the perimeter of your home. Are your fences sturdy? Any sign of wear?
  • If your roof is getting older, have a licensed roofer come out every few years and check it out. Don’t wait until it’s too late and your living room is filled with buckets to catch the rain….
  • Have your fireplace cleaned before the cold weather starts. Make sure there is no debris that might clog up your chimney.
  • Have your tires rotated regulary and have the tread checked. The roads are very slick with the first rain, even with good tires.

We hope these few tips help. Stay safe and dry!!
