Today, November 1st, is the first day of open enrollment. This means you can now enroll if you do not have a qualifying event, or you can now change your existing plan if you are already enrolled.

Coverage for new enrollments begins 1/01/2022. The deadline to enroll for new health insurance beginning on this date is 12/15/2021. Don’t delay, follow-up paperwork is often needed to complete your new application.

Plans in the Bay Area are offered through Kaiser Permanente, Anthem Blue Cross, and Blue Shield of California. Many different coverage levels are available, Bronze and Silver have more affordable monthly premiums but higher out of pocket costs, and Gold and Platinum have higher monthly premiums but lower out of pocket costs and co-pays.
